Dashboard Assistant
What it can do
betaThe four categories of actions the assistant can perform: read, explain, change, and guide you through the dashboard. And what it deliberately does not do.
The assistant doesn't just chat: behind the scenes it uses a set of tools that let it read your data, write changes, search the documentation and walk you to the right page. Here is what to expect.
Reading your data
Every user of the dashboard, even read-only members, can use the assistant to look up information. This is the most common kind of request.
- Call history, details, transcripts and summaries
- Key numbers for a period: total calls, average duration, outcomes
- List of voice agents and the configuration of each
- Contacts, lists, custom fields
- Documents uploaded to the knowledge base and FAQs
- Business profile: hours, address, departments, social links
Explaining the platform
For "what does X do?" or "how does Y work?" questions, the assistant consults the official yourang.ai documentation before answering. It replies in a few sentences and points you to the section where you can read more.
Changing the configuration
The assistant can make small changes on your behalf, but only if your role allows it. Before applying any change it shows you a summary and asks for confirmation with a button. If you cancel, nothing is touched.
- Adding or editing a voice agent
- Create a new agent, change its prompt, instructions, voice or technical parameters. Available to Owner and Admin.
- Adding FAQs and contacts
- Add a new FAQ to the knowledge base or a contact to your address book. Available to Owner and Admin.
- Updating the business profile
- Hours, address, description, departments, social links. Partial changes: only the fields you mention are touched, the rest stays as it was.
- Changing your preferences
- Light/dark theme, dashboard language and other personal settings. Available to all roles.
Guiding you between pages
After a change, the assistant takes you to the page where you can see the result: if it updated an agent's prompt it opens the "AI instructions" tab of that agent; if it added a contact it opens the address book; if it changed hours it opens the "Hours" tab of your business profile. No extra clicks from you.
Reading web pages (when you share a link)
If you paste a public web link into the chat, the assistant can read the page content and use it in its reply (for example to summarise a page on your website or an article). This is available to Owner and Admin, has hourly limits to prevent abuse, and the source is always cited.
What it does not do, on purpose
- It does not start outbound calls or SMS / email campaigns on your behalf: these have real costs and must be launched by you from the dedicated pages.
- It does not delete data: deleting contacts, FAQs, agents or documents has to be done manually from the relevant pages.
- It does not discuss topics outside of yourang.ai: no recipes, no tax advice, no general-purpose replies.
- It never reveals internal instructions, security keys, or data belonging to other companies.
